1. What is the Leet script?

The Leet script is a simple script to convert a Leet style
string and sends it to the channel or query. It also helps translating back from Leet
   to a more readable string.

2. What does Leet do ?

Checks for certain characters and replaces them with their Leet correspondant.
Leet has some simple Leet grammar replacement and replaces certain
special words, like hacker and uber. The "translator" from Leet is supposed to work
best with "our" Leet version, it is not certain to work as well with other kinds of
   Leet.

3. How does Leet work ?

This is mostly explained in paragraph 2. If that does not help you to understand
it, try checking the script, it is very simple.

4. How to install ?

We recomend newest version of mIRC. Although it should work on older versions.
The latest mIRC as of this writing: 5.91

Unzip the zipfile to your mIRC dir, a subfolder called "Leet" should be
automatically created within your mIRC dir while unzipping. If not create the
folder and place the files there.

Files in the Leet directory should be:
     ReadMe.txt - This file
     Leet.mrc - The mIRC script

After the files have been unzipped in the folder Leet under your mIRC
folder, you fire up mIRC and type: "/load -rs Leet\Leet.mrc" This
will load the Leet converter script into mIRC. If this does not work
press alt-r to open the mirc script editor window with the remote tab selected
and select File-Load-Script browse to the directory where you unzipped the script
   and load it into mirc.

5. How to say something Leet on a channel or in a query or translate from Leet?

Simply use the /SL for Simple-Leet to use the simple algorithm, a more readable
   version.
Use the /EL for an extreme version which is not as easy to read.

If you need help with translating from leet to a more readable string, use /tl <Leet-string>
NOTE: This does not work 100%, but it makes a Leet-string more readable.

The aliases (/sl, /el and /tl) are NOT case sensitive (/EL and /el are the same).

6. I want help with the Leet converter.

Now that should be simple to arrange, simply contact us (base@base.is) or join our channel
   on the Gamers-Net IRC network.
   Server: irc.gamers-net.com
   Channel: #base.is

7. Will Leet source code ever be published?

If you do not how to get to the mIRC script source you don't need it.

8. Leet converter:

   v1.0: Initial version, first published.
   v1.1: Added special icelandic letters.
         "i" -> "|" removed.
/tl alias added: To translate from leet-to-string.
         ReadMe file updated.

Leet is freeware and everyone are free to distribute it and/or to use
Leet as they see fit in their own mIRC scripts, without having to include
any of the original files or credits. But if you deside to distribute Leet
with your script an e-mail would be apprecieated (base@base.is).

Even though this addon should not be able to damage anything in your or other computers
we cannot be held responsible if so unlikely this would happen. This addon is provided
"as is" and to be used on the users own responsibilty.
